If heading North on the Tidal Hudson River, once you reach Troy, NY you will continue North through the Federal Lock (Army Corp of Engineers). Once through the lock proceed North approx 1.5 miles and watch for the large "green" sign to Port indicating the directions to the Erie Canal (Mohawk River) and Champlain Canal (Hudson River). Continue North to Champlain Canal Lock 1. After completing your lock through, continue North for approx .5 miles and Lock 1 Marina is to Port.
From the North:
Heading South on the Champlain Canal, after you exit Lock 2 continue South for approx 2.5 miles and Lock 1 Marina is to Starboard, just before Lock 1 of the NYS Canal.
From West:
Traveling East on the Erie Canal (Mohawk River) you will navigate the "Flight of Five" locks # 6-2 as you approach Waterford, NY. Lock 2 is the First Lock in the Erie Canal system, once through the gates you will be turning to Port and head North toward the Champlain Canal Lock 1. Lock 1 Marina is 1/2mile North after exting Lock 1.
-- NYS Thruway Route I87 North to Exit 23
-- Follow Route I787 North. The highway will change to a secondary road in about 6-7 miles with traffic signals. Continue North following it to the end approx 4 traffic lights.
-- Make a right turn on to Route 32 North
-- Follow Route 32 North into the Village of Waterford. Route 32 will make a left hand turn in the Village and also be combined with Route 4 North (4 & 32).
-- From this point travel approx 3 miles and Lock 1 Marina is on your Starboard, oh sorry, I meant to say your Right hand side!!
From the North:
-- Adirondack Northway Route I87 South to Exit 7.
-- Follow Route 7 East
-- Exit at Route I787 North
-- Follow Route I787 North. The highway will change to a secondary road in about 1 mile with traffic signals. Conintue North following it to the end approx 4 traffic lights.
-- Make a right turn on to Route 32 North
-- Follow Route 32 North into the Village of Waterford. Route 32 will make a left hand turn in the Village and also be combined with Route 4 North (4 & 32).
-- From this point travel approx 3 miles and Lock 1 Marina is on your Starboard, oh sorry, I meant to say your Right hand side!!
From the East:
-- Mass Pike I90 Traveling West
-- Exit at I90 heading towards Albany
-- Travle approx 7-8 miles and Exit at I787 North
-- Follow Route I787 North. The highway will change to a secondary road in about 3 miles with traffic signals. Conintue North following it to the end approx 4 traffic lights.
-- Make a right turn on to Route 32 North
-- Follow Route 32 North into the Village of Waterford. Route 32 will make a left hand turn in the Village and also be combined with Route 4 North (4 & 32).
-- From this point travel approx 3 miles and Lock 1 Marina is on your Starboard, oh sorry, I meant to say your Right hand side!!
From the West:
-- NYS Thruway I90 traveling East
-- Exit at 24, and follow signs to I90 East
-- After approx 5-6 miles exit for I787 North
-- Follow Route I787 North. The highway will change to a secondary road in about 3 miles with traffic signals. Conintue North following it to the end approx 4 traffic lights.
-- Make a right turn on to Route 32 North
-- Follow Route 32 North into the Village of Waterford. Route 32 will make a left hand turn in the Village and also be combined with Route 4 North (4 & 32).
-- From this point travel approx 3 miles and Lock 1 Marina is on your Starboard, oh sorry, I meant to say your Right hand side!!
